So what exactly is Loch Stock and how do you get involved?
The aim of Loch Stock is to bring together all the pockets of riding around scotland, for one weekend a month during the Summer. People tend to arrive on friday evening to chill out after a week at work, the beers flow but no riding, unless you make use of the local school. The Saturday is all about progression, with coaching from our pro riders, girly sessions and a Mastercraft trade stand to show you your perfect boat. We have full liquid force demo kit for you to try out and get your orders in, plus music courtesy of sum sum Dj’s, Relentless energy drinks and geese sleeping in tents… Saturday night is filled with food, drinking and partying, all the usual suspects! Our locations all have accommodation of some sort, so stay over and make a weekend of it.
Sunday is time for some serious competition.. in the hangover and riding with no sleep department! We want to see lots of people out on the water, all ages and ability. Points awarded for smiling, waving at judges, awesome style, as well as technical tricks and generally enjoying themselves. Most people who entered last year have already signed up, giving us an excellent turnaround rate, we must be doing something right!
The girls catagory for 2010 is more about getting girls riding together than competition, so don’t be shy and come show off your skills!
Our shop is a way of easy payment so click here for no more messing around with bank transfers, just make sure you bring confirmation with you on the day and email your entry form (below) to sam@loch-stock.com, no specific times for Saturday, just come along early and slot yourself in! The running order on Sunday is Rookies, Juniors, Mens B, Women, Mens A.
Format is two passes of the lake (or set distance), plus one wildcard trick to please the crowd- you’ll be pleased to know you dont have to land this to score points!
Juniors is those born ‘94 and younger. Rookies are unable to do consistent wakejumps, Mens B are only allowed to do inverts or spins as their wildcard.

Loch View Motel- the Proprietor, Mr Bean (we kid you not!) parties with the rest of us at his 24hour bar, a stop not to be missed. Only 1 hour from Carlisle there’s no excuse! Loch Ken Waterski School, Roddy Clarke for friday night riding. 07711341134.
Loch Earn – Held at the old ‘charlies waterski school’, we have access to the whole site, and are in the midst of planning a party to remember in conjunction with Amazing days. Exact details to be confirmed but camping will be available and accommodation at the Clachan hotel. Riding on friday behind a Mastercraft X5 can be booked with Martin (ex WSS) 07834467059.
Loch Lomond – at the spanking new site of Loch Lomond wakeboard, our main sponsors, Kevin and Anne have accommodation on a first come first served basis. Camping will also be available for £5/head, anyone who came to the coaching weekend or has seen the photos on the facebook/twitter feeds will know not to miss out on the final of the Loch Stock Scottish Wakeboard Tour. Sets can also be booked through Loch Lomond Wakeboard throughout the summer.
Insurance- When you ride with us you will need to sign a disclaimer (above) however as a member of BWS, our national governing body, you are automatically covered by their personal accident scheme – cover up to £25,000 whilst skiing anywhere in the world or travelling to and from our calendar events within the UK. Option to “top up” this cover for a small additional premium. Join through the scottish national site for additional benefits and free sets!
