Loch Stock is far more than just a tour, it’s a community. The team consists of four riders, all from different backgrounds but with a common goal. Our aim is to push wakeboarding north of the border to the level it has the potential to reach. We’re not creating a scene- it’s already there; we’re simply giving it a push in the right direction. Scotland has some sick riders, and some budding groms that are itching to learn- with the right coaching and opportunities there is the potential to produce some future rippers!
The Loch Stock tour began in 2008 with a hugely successful one day event. The enthusiasm from the all the riders and sponsors was overwhelming and the concept very quickly snowballed into a three stop tour, with the idea of taking the event all round the country. The tour has gained a huge following from the UK wakeboard community and even further afield, as well as generating a massive amount of interest from sponsors who clearly see Scottish wakeboarding as a worthwhile investment.
The tour is only young and already things are happening at breakneck speed- the rise in the level of riding just in the month between the first two tour stops was astounding, we can only imagine where things will be by the final tour stop! Things are changing in Scotland and we’re ready to make our mark on the UK map; now is the time to get involved. Whether you’ve just strapped on a board for the first time, or you spend more time looking at the back of a boat than anything else your involvement makes a difference. So get your diary, get yourself to the tour stops and come support whether you ride or not. Until then let’s get together and do what love the most; ride!
